DE-credits and paid services

Why there are DE-credits?

Lands produce gold and mana, allow you to build houses and buildings, recruit army and your treasury fills. But as asoon as the league ends, all of that disappears and when you register into a new league, you start with one land and basic amount of resources.

Therefore DE-credits   were introduced. Saved DE-credits stay on your account when a league ends, they are yours until you decide to use them. You can transfer them to another player (which you can't do with gold and mana) and so bribe him to join your side, or purchase certain things from the system.

                                

What can I purchase for DE-credits?

  • keys to higher leagues - Wooden , Iron , Brass , Silver , Gold and Arena key
  • artifacts for your hero - hero can be equipped with artifacts, that greatly enhance his abilities
  • trainings for your hero - if your hero has collected enough experience, buy training and increase hero's level in some (or all) abilities
  • game boosts - after you register to a league, you can buy gold or mana for quicker start; you can also pay for additional turns, for attack boost etc. (boosts are not available in all leagues!)
  • enhanced controls - makes it easier (less arduous) to play, so that you can perform the same actions quicker and more precisely (enhanced spellcasting, bulk buying of buildings)
  • VIP services - have no effect on gameplay, but give you prestige - picture of player on forums, custom flag
  • start your clan - for a fee in DE-credits, you can start your own clan with private forum
Players most often buy keys, because in the higher leagues more DE-credits can be gained in case of success.
Other frequently used services are hero trainings, gold boost (helps to a quicker start and expansion) and Knight's Help (increases strength of one attack by 10%).

Limitations

So that players could not boost their power beyond reasonable limits, most services can not be bought repeatedly for some time - only after a few days. Purchased services should help the player survive problems and help a bit, but they can never make a bad player stronger than good players. In some leagues services affecting the game (boosts) are not allowed at all.

Other uses of DE-credits

Aside from services purchased from system, you can use DE-credits to influence other players:
  • reward players for cooperation - you can send some to other player as thanks for his/her help
  • bribe your opponent - if your diplomacy failed, you can try to bribe your opponent with DE-credits
  • pay for cult support - if you need a few more lands to gain access to Land of Dark Elf, offer DE-credits to someone if they support your cult
  • pay for magical or military support
  • pay to free your hero - if your hero was captured, you might get it back from the new owner for ransom in DE-credits (hero can be returned only after the league ends!)
... and I'm sure you'll find even more uses. There are no limitations to such use, but also no guaranty that the bribed player will do what you asked - it is your risk!

How can I get DE-credits?

You won't receive any DE-credits in training and newbie leagues. In other free leagues, you can win a few credits if you play well. Much larger sums of credits are awarded in leagues where you can register only with a key. The more expensive key is needed, the more credits will be distributed to players when league ends - prize pool is created from the payments for keys and increases with every player who registered into this league. And what can you do to receive some DE-credits?
  • win a league - player who captures the Land of Dark Elf receives substantial reward
  • conquer lands - on 18th day of a league (or when the league ends, if that comes first), all players recieve minor amount of DE-credits for each of their lands
  • send SMS or pay by bank transfer - SMS is quicker, bank transfer cheaper detailed description
  • advertise Dark Elf - you can be paid some DE-credits for article on some website, link to Darkelf or a banner on your website (to receive reward, write to DE Treasurer using in-game mail)
  • write commentary to leagues - if you are experienced player with good writing skills, apply to Editor; if there is a vacancy, you may end up as reporter of some league
  • for substantial game merits - helping other players, finding a major flaw (bug) in the game, organization of player convention
  • from other players - see "Other uses of DE-credits" (above) for some ideas on how to get DE-credits from other players
  • in future, there will be a chance to click the banner on homepage and win small amounts in a lottery
