Defeating Dark Elf

There are many leagues in Dark Elf, with different objectives, but most of them require you to defeat Dark Elf to win. The only way to defeat Dark Elf is to capture the Land of Dark Elf. It is found in the centre of the map, in the "Land of Dark Elves" area. This land is hidden behind a high mountain range and cannot be attacked from adjacent land - actually, in the meaning this word is used in Dark Elf, it has no adjacent lands. You need to perform a special ritual to gain access to this land.

Conditions needed to attack Land of Dark Elf

The only way to this land is an ancient magical gate. To activate this gate, you need a great magical power, and large number of followers.
  1. build 7 Large Magetowers - they are necessary both for starting a cult and sending your attack
  2. found a new cult - in Statistics window => Cult you can start a new cult and invite other players to join it
  3. get support of 151 lands or more in your cult - as soon as there is enough lands in your cult, a date will appear, telling you when you can send army to attack Dark Elf. If you lose the necessary support, this date disappears and a new date appears after you regain support.
  4. weaken the defense of the land by spells - this isn't required by the game, but it is almost impossible to defeat Dark Elf without weakening the defenses first
  5. send military attack - if several players attack at the same day, the player who holds the land at the end of recalculation is the winner

How to stop other players from defeating Dark Elf?

  1. cast protective spells (shields) on the Land of Dark Elf - that won't prevent the attack, but it may cause that attack to fail. Especially magical shields are helpful, as they can lower the number of successful destructive spells.
  2. conquer lands that are in the cult, so that the cult has support of less than 151 lands - attack on Dark Elf goes last, and cult support is re-checked before attack is evaluated
  3. bribe some player to leave the cult - cult must have 151 lands or more in the moment of attack
  4. destroy Large Magetowers (use spell Demon of Magic or pillaging attack) - if the attacking player has less than 7 Large Magetowers, the attacking army will return (will not reach the land at all). Destroying towers does not cancel the existing cult! As soon as they are rebuilt, another attack can be sent.
